Children from foster family in kindergarten

The topic of the bachelor thesis is Children from a foster family in kindergarten. In the theoretical part, foster family care, kindergarten and other basic concepts that are crucial for understanding the issue are characterized. The practical part of the thesis consists of a quantitative research method. Initially, I wanted to use qualitative research using semi-structured interviews, but as I encountered reluctance from the respondents, I had to use only the quantitative method. This questionnaire method was used with two groups, the teachers' group and the foster parents' group. The aim of the Bachelor's thesis was to identify and understand the specific characteristics of the integration of children from foster families into the kindergarten environment in the context of cooperation with this type of family.

Theory, practice and prospects of foster care in the Czech Republic Abstract The thesis deals with the issue of foster care, as a traditional private law institute of alternative family care, which has significant public law features. The aim of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive view of the legal regulation of foster care de lege lata not only from a theoretical perspective, but also to point out some practical consequences of the application of the legal regulation in question. Part of the thesis is also devoted to the prospects of regulatory developments of foster care following the upcoming legislative changes in the field of alternative care for children. If, from objective or subjective reasons, the child's parents cannot personally care for the child, the state must ensure a suitable alternative care for such a child. One of these forms of alternative care is foster care, which provides a solution to the lack of personal care for child by his or her parents in an environment that resembles a family as much as possible. That is why foster care holds an irreplaceable position within the system of alternative care for children. The Importance of Preparing Forster Parents for a Temporary Period

The topic of this bachelor´s thesis is the importance of preparing short term foster parents. The body of this thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part deals with the current forms of the alternative family care system, as it focuses mainly on short term foster care. Furthermore it focuses on the preparation for the realization of foster care, its structure and parts of its content. The aim of the thesis is to map how short term foster parents evaluate the process of their preparation for accepting a child into the family. In connection to the aim of the thesis and theoretical knowledge, the main research question was determined: How do short term foster parents evaluate the content of the preparations in retrospect with regard to practice? Furthermore, the following partial research questions were set: What positive things did the short term foster parents find in the preparation process? What negatives did the short term foster parents find in the preparation process? What were the foster parents' expectations resulting from the preparation? A qualitative research strategy, a method of questioning, and a semi-structured interview technique were chosen for the research. The research sample consisted of six communication pairs. The results of the interviews were analyzed by the method of creating clumps. The results of the interviews revealed that the communication partners found the process of their professional preparation to be adequate, sufficiently professional and satisfactory for practice even in the context of their further compulsory annual education. The results of the thesis can serve as a comprehensive material for implementers of the preparations, but also for future applicants for foster care, as the work contains practical experience in the field of daily foster care.
Foster Care of Romani Children

This bachelor thesis deals with foster care providers and their motivation to perform foster care. The aim of the work was to find out what are the factors of motivation for foster care of a Roma child. In the theoretical part, I described the basic concepts related to the concept of alternative family care, including the legislative framework. Subsequently, I also described the topic of the Roma community, the Roma family and the formation of the identity of a Roma child in a non-Roma surrogate family. In the practical part, qualitative research was used, more precisely biographical interviews, which I supplemented by subsequent questioning. The communication partners were families who provide foster care, have at least one child of the Roma ethnic group and are themselves of the non-Roma ethnic group. Another condition for the selection of communication partners was that they have a permanent residence in the South Bohemian Region. All obtained data are analyzed in a way based on grounded theory. While processing this bachelor's thesis, I found that motivation can be different and different from each individual separately. The main factors of initial motivation can be external and internal influences, in each case the greatest impact on such decisions has the environment, family, friends or even professional life. Cooperation with the relevant authorities and social workers is especially important for every applicant for alternative family care. If the applicant is sure that his interest is also supported by the authorities, this decision is often full and fulfilled.
Comparison of the alternative forms of family care in the Czech Republic and in Spain and analysis of the relevant Spanish legal terminology with a glossary

The main purpose is a comparative analysis of the forms of alternative family care in the Czech and Spanish legislation with an emphasis on the search for differences and similarities. This thesis deals with children from orphanages. The content of the theoretical part consists of the legislative framework of the issue, explaining basic concepts, description of historical development of institutional care and the scope of institutions of social and legal protection of children. The main objective is to monitor the situation of children's home of clients in the institutional education. Approach the situation before the regulation of institutional care during their stay in institutional care, not only in the orphanage itself, but also diagnostic facilities, and also after leaving the facility and must be included in everyday life. The practical part deals with how children stay in foster homes also affects their lives. System of care for vulnerable children in the Czech Republic - its determinants and ways out

This thesis deals with the System of care for vulnerable children in the Czech Republic and the increasing number of children in institutional care. While processing was used mainly qualitative methods of collecting data through its own survey in the offices of municipalities with extended competence of employees engaged in the exercise of social and legal protection of children and interviews with selected staff of facilities for institutional care. There was also carried out a secondary analysis of data. Finally, there are some partial measures, whose implementation could improve the situation of vulnerable children in society and reduce the number of children placed in institutional care.
